Win Up to $10K in Grants! Join the 2025 WFF Transformative Research Challenge

Imagine turning your groundbreaking research into real-world impact—with funding, global recognition, and mentorship from leading agrifood experts. The World Food Forum’s Transformative Research Challenge (TRC) is back, offering young innovators up to $10,000 in grants to tackle critical issues like sustainable aquaculture, gender equity in livestock farming, and water security.

Since 2021, the TRC has awarded $500,000+ to 71 youth-led projects, partnering with giants like FAO, IFAD, and Wageningen University. This year’s winners will:

• Pitch at FAO headquarters in Rome (October 2025).
• Gain exclusive mentorship and capacity-building training.
• Showcase their work to a global audience via UN platforms.

Deadline: May 9, 2025, at 24:00 (PDT).

Eligible Regions: Open worldwide.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Young researchers (no age specified, but targeting early-career innovators).
• Must submit a 2-page concept note aligned with one of the 5 prize categories:
• Gender Mainstreaming in PPR Eradication ($8K grant).
• Integrated Water Management ($10K grant).
• Sustainable Aquaculture ($10K grant).
• Forestry Innovation ($10K grant).
• Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries (3-month FAO mentorship).
• Semi-finalists must participate in a month-long capacity-building program.
